>Liverpool Marina and Yacht Club Liverpool are built on the historic Cobug Wharf. At the height of its marine dominance, Liverpool water front had over 50 docks each specialising in different goods, products and services and in 1840 Cobug Dock was built to connected the mostly passenger traffic of the northern docks, to the mostly raw material trade in the southern docks.

Coburg Dock specialised in grain and flour handling which lead to the construction of a large grain silo, affectionately referred to as the ‘Dockers Cathedral’ due to its similar design to that of the iconic Anglican Cathedral, less than a mile away from the dock itself.

The silo was eventually demolished in 1986 and the regeneration of the southern docks began which included the establishment of Liverpool Marina and Yacht Club.

Today the Marina is home to over 150 marine residents and berth holders and is a prosperous and unique residential location with the Yacht Club at the very heart of the community.
